pleasantly surprised you?
The Italian actors proved to be outstanding and incredibly
cooperative to collaborate with. It took a total of 3 days to film the trailer,
which was a delightful surprise. I was genuinely amazed by the sheer beauty of
Florence, Italy; it exceeded all my expectations.
For what group of spectators is your film
targeted?
If we are discussing the demographic aspect, the group I am
primarily targeting consists of individuals who have an affinity for romance
and action genres, particularly enjoying the triumphant defeat of the
antagonist. This particular formula, which appeals to this target audience, is
highly popular among individuals ranging from twenty-one to fifty-five years of
age.
Why should distributors buy your
film?
This content reflects a blend of American and European
elements, with an emphasis on avoiding any political aspects. People seem to be
worn out and fatigued from all the political content, and they simply desire to
watch a film that is enjoyable and thrilling, with no underlying agenda.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the film will feature exquisite
costumes and breathtaking scenery.
How would you specify your work? What
characterizes your film?
Old Hollywood style, featuring desirable and beautiful
protagonists. It aims to evoke a sense of class and sophistication while
uplifting everyone to their utmost potential. It may transport you to movies
with fast-paced thrilling chase scenes and, naturally, romance and love.
Why did you decided to become a
filmmaker?
As a couture designer, I believe that my work extends beyond
mere fabrics. Each design I create carries a narrative within. Therefore, I
made the choice to embark on developing stories that are then adapted into
books and films. I prioritize style and the art of dressing well for women
and men.
Who is your role model?
In terms of role models, I don't have a single one. Nevertheless, during
my upbringing, Tina Turner, Princess Grace, and numerous other elegant
Hollywood women served as inspirations. They embodied a timeless style which I
found captivating. In my opinion, they exuded a more alluring and enigmatic
beauty, while remaining both sexy and attractive. Unlike today, where we are
exposed to every aspect of people's lives, there was a certain appeal in the
mysterious allure they maintained. That is why most of my role models belong to
the past era.
Which movies are your favorites?
Why?
In terms of cinematic favorites, Wuthering Heights with
Laurence Olivier (1939), High Society, Grace Kelly, and The John Wick franchise
are some of the notable mentions. If the subject revolves around glamour or
action, chances are I will thoroughly enjoy it.
The reason why I adore movies of that nature lies in my
profound appreciation for glamour and beauty, as well as my attraction to
chivalrous gentlemen.
Where do you look for inspiration for your
films?
In my passion for film, I often engage with various literary
works from the past as well as indulge in the consumption of old films. These
sources possess a profound depth and intricate subtleties that are left
unspoken. One must carefully observe and absorb these nuances to truly
appreciate their essence. Unfortunately, in contemporary times, the trend leans
towards producing fast-paced action films that prioritize instant
gratification. However, it is worth noting that some of the finest films are
characterized by their minimal dialogue. Instead, they rely on the characters'
body language to convey meaning, allowing the audience to comprehend the scene
without explicit verbal communication.
Which topics interest you the most?
My favorite topics revolve around fashion and couture. Academic theater,
musical, and anything related to beauty and skincare greatly inspire me.
Additionally, global travel allows me to explore new places and meet new
people, which I find incredibly enriching. I strongly believe that intelligent
individuals are often those who have experienced extensive travels. Through
travel, one can acquire valuable knowledge and insights.
What do you consider your greatest
achievement in your career?
My primary accomplishment lies in my unwavering dedication
towards assisting ambitious models, actors, and other aspiring individuals who
strive to enter the industry. I have allocated considerable resources, both in
terms of financial donations and time investment, to ensure that they are given
fair opportunities. Additionally, I take pride in recognizing a niche market
that often goes unnoticed by others. It is disheartening that individuals over
the age of 40 are frequently overlooked in various films, despite comprising
the largest demographic and possessing significant purchasing power. Moreover,
they possess invaluable wisdom that cannot be acquired through monetary means.
What do you consider most important about
filming?
it
is widely known among those who collaborate with me that I have an aversion
towards disorder, negative attitudes, and individuals exhibiting diva-like
behavior on the sets of my films. I prefer a serene and inclusive ambiance on
the film sets. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of unfair
treatment, biases, or anything that could lead to anyone feeling excluded or
unwelcome.
Which film technique of shooting do you
consider the best?
In order to evoke strong emotions in my film, my utmost
priority is to ensure the lighting is perfectly aligned. This crucial element
serves as the principal support during the filming process. Additionally, I
cannot underestimate the significance of camera angles, as any experienced
filmmaker would concur. It is well known that camera angles have the power to
completely transform the essence of a film. Thus, the combined effect of
lighting and angles plays a pivotal role in establishing the desired mood of my
film.
How would you rate/What is your opinion
about current filmmaking?
I typically refrain from evaluating the work of fellow filmmakers.
This is due to the highly subjective nature of the craft. Each individual
approaches filmmaking with a unique perspective and objective – some aim to
convey a story, while others focus on narrating their own experiences.
Considering the multitude of factors at play, such as mindset and soundbar, it
would be inappropriate for me to pass judgment on someone else's techniques or
creative concepts. This is simply because filmmaking represents a deeply
personal endeavor.
What can disappoint you in a movie?
The
presence of a completely concealed agenda in a film can be highly off-putting,
especially when it bombards the viewer with political statements. This often
leads me to turn off the movie immediately. However, I do acknowledge that
documentaries typically have a certain level of expected political content,
which I am prepared for. But when it comes to simply watching a film for the
purpose of enjoyment, I prefer not to be preached to or subjected to hidden
agendas. This approach seems dishonest and unprofessional, undermining the
integrity of the film.
Who supports you in your film
career?
I possess an extensive global support network spanning across
various countries. I constantly engage in interviews and seek others'
perspectives in order to understand their opinions and emotions when crafting a
film. My focus is not solely on myself, but on others and their responses to
certain situations, which ultimately results in a more inclusive and impactful
film.
